  • 450g firm tofu
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/21 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 65g plain flour/chickpea flour
  • 15g fresh parsley
  • 15g fresh coriander
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Break tofu into small pieces in a large bowl. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, spices, tomato puree, flour, and herbs. Mash until well combined.
  2. Shape small portions of the mixture into kebab shapes (about 12).
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry kebabs until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Serve with rice or pita bread alongside salad and your favorite dipping sauces.
